RRR G/u/r Tokens

I was so happy with this draft. My deck looked very powerful, good early and late, plenty of acceleration and fixing for my three removal spells. I couldn't decide what to cut for an 18th land, but figured with Prism, Battlement, 2x Spasm, and Awakening Zone I wouldn't have a problem casting my late game. I didn't have that many creatures to throw Drake Umbra onto, but even on a spawn it would make a 3/4 flyer so I played two.

1 Flame Slash
1 Deprive
1 Coralhelm Commander
1 Halimar Wavewatch
1 Overgrown Battlement
1 Prophetic Prism
1 Staggershock
1 Guard Gomazoa
1 Awakening Zone
2 Growth Spasm
2 Wildheart Invoker
1 Ondu Giant
1 Kozilek Predator
2 Drake Umbra
1 Mnemonic Wall
1 Broodwarden
2 Pelakka Wurm
1 Gelatinous Genesis
1 Heat Ray

On one of the four drops or a P. Wurm it would be absurd. Mnemomic Wall gets back any of my red removal, Deprive, or a spasm. Usually don't need to cast Genesis twice.

Match 1, Game 1. I mull my one land seven hander. My six hander also has one land, but it has both my merfolk so I keep it thinking I can draw out of it. I get a forest on my first draw, but get stuck there for three turns. I play my Wavewatch and level it twice. My opponent just keeps playing forests and on his fourth turn drops Kozilek's Predator. I'm not worried until I miss my land again and he drops Broodwarden. I finally get my land and throw down Guard Gomazoa, but I have taken some damage and to top it off my oppenent sacs his spawn for a sixth turn Ulamog's Predator, not good when you are mana screwed. Through a series of misplays by my opponent I stabilize, but I had to sac a land to the Crusher so I am still stuck on three land and I am at one. I have both my Pelakka Wurms in my hand and each turn my opponent just drops a land and swings with his Broodwarden (which has a Mammoth Umbra on it) into my Guard Gomazoa. I draw two Growth Spasms in a row getting me to five land and two tokens, but when my opponent gets to 11 land he drops Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre killing my wall, forcing me to chump. I do not draw a land and would be getting Annihilated even if I had. Pretty frustrating game when my opponent hard casts Ulamog while I am hoping to draw my fourth or fifth land of the game.

Game 2 I figure the only way I can lose it to mana screw so I board out an Umbra for another land. I choose to go second and see my opener has 5 lands, Mnemonic Wall and Broodwarden. Pretty slow, but my opponent does not have any early game and I only have four cards that cost more than five so I keep. My opponent has the Predator and Broodwarden again, but it doesn't matter as I draw land, land, land, land, land, Growth Spasm.... Scoop.

Let me know what you guys think about the draft, deck build, and my mulligan decisions. Sorry the games weren't more exciting. I could have gone down to five and six these two games, but game two I really should have been fine. There are alot of cards that accelerate me and three/four that would give me a 2/2 spawn as well. These things happen I guess, but I really wanted to get to play with this deck.

You might have been able to go G/B Tokens

Instead of flameslash pick 2, you might could have taken boar umbra to try and cut green, which gets you predator pick 3 and brood warden pick 4. You didn't get good green pack 2. You could have gotten a couple dread drones with another brood warden and a vendetta somewhere in there. But flameslash and staggershock in 3 first picks is really good. I am probably just saying the green plan because after looking you would have 2 broodwarden with so many tokens...would have been sick! I maybe just saying this because I know what the cards were in hindsight.
