1st Place RRR Draft - B/R Tokens

This is the first Rise of Eldrazi Draft I have done online, and probably the fifth I have ever done. I am not really comfortable yet with this format, and struggled a bit while drafting this deck. Luckily this is a 4-3-2-2. I really didn't like my first pick Rage Nimbus because I wasn't sure how good it was, and I am passing lust for war. I started to get more confident as I picked good black card after good black card. Read the comments on picks by pressing the green quotes picture below the draft picks to get commentary on each pick.

Round 1 vs. U/W - I won this 2-0. He slows me up with guard duties and luminous wake early, but can't handle all my creatures late game.

Round 2 vs. G/B Aura Gnarlid deck - He has multiple gnarlids and lots of umbras. I wreck him both games with well timed vendettas.

Round 3 vs G/R Ramp - He trounces me with 5th turn Pelakka Wurm. Game 2 he has slow draw and I aggro him out. Game 3 he gets good start by keeping me at bay with the 2/8 green body. Game 3 I board in goblin tunneler to get past spawns and walls. He eventually ramps out some fatties and it looks bad for me as all I have is a whole lot of tokens and a couple of dread drones. Luckily I top deck vampire then the tunnler the turn after that. I attack and sack everything hoping he doesn't have a trick....he doesn't. I won the draft!

Mistakenly wrote decklist wrong. Rage nimbus was main.

I did play rage nimbus main, just wrote the decklist wrong in the article. The tunneler was in the board. Nimbus was amazing btw. I just made all their dudes attack (block with the huge first striker), then counter attack with vampire and company ftw. I am not a big Akoum Boulderfoot fan either. It seems overpriced and I think the 1 point rarely affects the game that much. It is most likely going to be a 4/5 for 6 most of the time imo.

You made the right decsion with Rage Nimbus in P1P1. 3 toughness is hard to kill in combat.

P1P5 you should have taken the essence feed over the Boar Umbra.
Escaped Null VS Bloodrite Invoker in B/R tokens. That is a hard call but you can never go wrong with ways to spend your tokens.

P1P8 Goblin Tunneler I think is better because Hand of Emrakul simply sucks. What did you think about the Skittering Invasion? I'm starting to like that card.

P2P2 you should have taken the Cadaver Imp as you mentioned. Not because of hindsight but because Lavaflame Invoker is not a high pick and will most likely table.

P2P5 you made the right call. Splinter twin is only good when you have a CitB ability of a fat critter and even then you should probably just attack with the critter instead of enchanting it.

P2P8 you should ahve hated out the Bramble Snap instead of the Realms Uncharted. Realms is unplayable in draft and Bramble Snap is very good. Also you passed up a Skittering Invasion.

P2P9 you have the skeleton of a B/R token deck but no fatties or ramparts to ramp into except that one hand of Emrakul. Skeleton Wurm isn't the best but he is a beast when he hits.

P2P10 Ell Umbra over Evolving Wilds? Never.

P3P5 I would have taken Arrogant Bloodlord because he is a monster. Not every deck will have a 1/X or 0/X to block him and he's alot better than a hill giant.

P3P8 Akoum Boulderfoot can simply win games by attacking. In addition he's also psedo-removal for little dudes like the cryptologist.

Overall it looks like you had a good draft. No one else seemed to be hating your colors too much. I would have played Rage Nimbus and would have taken out a Bloodrite Invoker for it.
